Daphne Cummings

Director of Community Schools, Shoreline Unified School District

Daphne Cummings is currently the Director of Community Schools for Shoreline Unified School District (SUSD). Previously, she was the Director of Preschools for SUSD and was part of the collective impact team which brought the local non-profit preschool into the school district. Ms. Cummings was the director for the West Marin non-profit preschool Shoreline Acres for over 8 years and has experience working in the Early Care and Learning field in Marin County for over 12 years. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from UNC-Greensboro and a MA in Education: Curriculum, Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University. Ms. Cummings began her career in Early Childhood as an aide in an infant and toddler classroom and has continued in many different roles working with children and families. Ms. Cummings serves on the Marin County Child Care Commission.
