Sally Barry

Instructional Coach, San Leandro Unified School District

Sally Barry is an Instructional Coach in the Teaching, Learning & Educational Equity department at San Leandro Unified School District. She works with teachers, staff, and site administrators across the district and holds an in-depth focus on early childhood education, multilingual learners, and teacher inquiry. She has been instrumental in various district initiatives including the expansion of Dual Language Immersion programs, the vision for TK expansion, the revision of the English Learner Master Plan, and the districtwide design and implementation of professional development, including Universal Design for Learning, English Language Development, Culturally & Linguistically Relevant Pedagogy, etc. Prior to joining this team, Sally worked as a classroom teacher in various California public school districts and instructed at UC Berkeley in the teacher education program.
